ICYMI April 20 Vanessa Monfreda's new collage series will be on display at Homespun through the months of May and June

First Friday May-June 2018

Every month, Homespun: Modern Handmade hosts a celebration in collaboration with iDADA’s First Friday events. Our shows change every other month with various artists showcasing work in painting, illustration, photography, ceramics, and so much more.

For the months of May and June, we’ll be celebrating the new work of local artist Vanessa Monfreda. This collage series is inspired by Vanessa’s recent trip to Ecuador.

Born in Chile and spending part of her adolescence in Germany and Ecuador, Vanessa immigrated to the States with her family in the 90’s. Her diverse, multicultural background is ever present in her work and her use of up-cycled material adds another dimension to the already layered designs.

To learn more about Vanessa and her work, please visit her website at: http://vanessamonfreda.com/home.html

We hope to see you for First Friday in May and June!

Have a happy, handmade weekend!
